Patricia Aguirre with her daughter Abigail. Abigail is seriously handicapped since she was born. Patricia is one of the 796 plaintiffs in the case. If they win the case Patricia hopes to be able to buy a clinical bed for Abigail so that the care for her would be facilitated.
Many of the inhabitants of the affected area suffer from the toxic waste which contained arsenic, lead and mercury. Among the effects are birth defects and miscarriage.
